This video essay focuses on the thin line between documentary and fiction genres. Through the eyes of three directors, Frederick Wiseman, Maite Alberdi Soto, and Filipe Martins, we make a short trip that starts at the beginning of cinema history and ends in the present day. This video essay was produced in the academic field for the Film Studies Curricular Unit of the Master in Cinema and Photography – Specialization in Documental and Experimental Cinema.
