End of first term on Digital Cinematography MA at Bournemouth, we were asked to write a 5,000 word essay- or blog, or video essay- on one of the elements of narrative construction that are used by filmmakers to create new stories. The element I chose was genre, particularly the role of landscape, nature and environment in war films, and this is the video essay I wrote and edited.
