Vehicles of Masculinity

Where most of the discussions surrounding Mad Max: Fury Road centered on (or at least extensively mentioned) its feminist credentials, this video essay looks at the cars in the movie. It sees those trucks and cars as being representative of a longstanding movie tradition of using cars as a powerful iconographic tool to communicate masculinity.
